AIB is an Indian comedy sketch group. The group was initially founded by Gursimran Khamba and Tanmay Bhat and was later joined by Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya.
For some, Valentine’s Week is the season of love, stuffed hearts and nervously stammering feelings to crushes and loved ones, but for another part of the population, this is the time of the year when many wishes that the earth opens up and swallows them whole for a day or two. Just like there are people who cannot wait to celebrate the day of love, many slouches under the building weight of their lonely existence as singles. The week starts off with a rose day and ends on Valentine’s Day which is usually celebrated by a couple in love, going out on dates and promising loyalty along with showering them with gifts and attention. So when thousands of people took to their social media and vented their frustration with the hashtag #PyaarEkDhokhaHai, it was comical and a momentum which got together many youths.

From All India Bakchod’s shouting out ‘Pyaar Ek Dhoka Hai’ event to aiming darts at Cupid — here is where the real party is, this February 14. First started by All India Bakhchod, one of the most celebrated groups of comedians who come up with satirical, sarcastic and with the season comedies for the youth of India. The hashtag was started with the idea of extending support to those who have been through breakups and find the Valentines week- a cliché show off. There are many peers who have gone through a tough break up or have been cheated on or are single for quite some time- this hashtag was a way of fun for them. This hashtag however went to become a serious event after thousands of students took to their own social media accounts and shared their experience with memes caption them with the famous Pyaar ek dhokha hai. Seeing the amazing response of so many youngsters, AIB decided to joke about organizing an event where people would Pyaar ek dhoka hai together.
Tanmay Bhat posted on Twitter,” The Pyaar Ek Dhoka Hai….is a thing now. Have to plan the evening. Can’t believe thousands are going to actually gather and yell out Pyaar Ek Dhoka hai”. After that, the AIB official page posted about the venue for the event, “SHOUTING PYAAR EK DHOKA HAI
