H1B Visa issue - Will it affect your lifestyle

H1B Visa is a visa in the United States which allows the U.S employers to employ foreign workforce temporarily. This visa has proved to be boon to many people especially the Indian workforce but not for much time. On April 18, 2017, U.S president Donald Trump signed ‘Buy American, Hire American’ order which had imposed the restrictions on H1B visas for the hiring of foreign workers and which gave the preference to the American workforce. This regime had a great impact on India based companies such as TCS, INFOSYS and WIPRO etc. because the US is the most important market for these companies. Due to this downfall, the India based companies are bounded to choose the Americans over the native workforce.

This step was taken so that no one could grab the employment from the hands of US workers from their own country. This step no doubt has a great effect on Indians too because now they are unable to get the resources as well as good pay like earlier. And also now they have to shed sweats not only in getting the H1B visas but in renewing them too. Now they don’t have high opportunities to avail the exposure in the companies in the US. And also the American based companies like Accenture, Microsoft, Google, and Facebook which are the dream job companies for almost all soft tech engineers are now actually a dream.

But this step has not brought completely the bad luck to India. Now the brilliant workforce which earlier was going for the jobs in the US now could work in India and can build up great opportunities and infrastructure and can do a lot for the nation. Although they won’t get the amazing exposure here if they do then they can build that exposure in India too with their knowledge and potential and resources remains. This is the biggest advantage for India.
