Manu Bhaker - The 16 Year old girl has made the whole India Proud

India has got it's another astonishing gemstone Manu Bhaker, who has owned two world cup gold medals in the ISSF World Cup conducted in Guadalajara, Mexico. The 11th standard student at an age of 16 could be the youngest ever to win senior World cup gold medal for India. Manu Bhaker belongs to Jhajjar district, Haryana, who has stunned the shooting worlds with her coruscating performance. She has just stepped into the shooting platform two years ago. Winning two successive gold medals in a global event can justify her expertise at a very early age.

The shooting happened to her by chance after a brush with contact sports like Boxing and martial arts and she has already stamped her class in the tournaments she competed in. She expressed on the occasion of her achievements that all the credit goes to her coaches and their inestimable pieces of advice and the time they have invested in forging her abilities. She has also mentioned that the success was uncertain and she did not even expect.

Last December, she won the 10meter air pistol event, surpassing the highly experienced Heena Sidhu at the 61st National Shooting Championship held in Thiruvananthapuram by breaking Heena’s long-standing national record. She won 15 medals, including nine gold medals during the National tournament. Her amazing shooting career could possibly because of her father when he took her to the range and asked her to try her hand at the sport. She fired few shots but at the center of the target on her first ever trial and the rest is history, which leads her to move forward for Shooting.

Partnering Om Prakash Mitharval, Manu Bhaker finalized the 10meter air pistol mixed team title, a day after her winning of Women’s 10-meter air pistol individual gold, which is going to turn a memorable senior World Cup debut.
