Samsung is set to release it’s most rumoured Galaxy S9 and S9+, at Mobile World Congress, with a special event on February 25, the Galaxy S9 may ship as soon as March 8th and the new phones will be hitting store shelves on March 16. On the basis of multiple leaks and rumours from different sources including a leaked retail box the specifications ofof SAMSU GALAXY S9 could be-
1. Camera: With a larger screen size of 6.2-inch S9 Plus should have dual 12-
megapixel rear camera which is a clearly an advantage over the 5.8-inch
standard S9 the rear camera on the S9 (or main rear camera on the S9 Plus) has the option to switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures depending on the shot you're aiming for. f/1.5 can be used for low light or macro shots or f/2.4 when you want more of the scene in focus. The S9 Plus' secondary rear
camera would be locked at f/2.4 and would be intended more for zoomed
or portrait photos. S9 and S9+ are also accompanied by the most awaited AKG-tuned stereo speakers and a brand new Exynos 9810 processor
2. New Colours: S9 and S9+ are available in some new colours Coral Blue,
Midnight Black, Lilac Purple and Titanium Gray.
3. CPU, RAM and Storage: the Galaxy S9 will offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB of
storage capacity whereas the S9+ will have 6GB but the storage could be
the same.Also the option of microSD card slot will bw available.
4.Battery Life: both Galaxy S9 and S9+ will feature a 3,000 mAh battery and
the S9+ will have a 3,500 mAh battery respectively. Though these phones
will take little more time for charging because the Qualcomm promises
that the GPU in the Snapdragon 845 chip has 30 percent better power
efficiency. Also, the 845 processor has four dedicated A55 efficiency cores.
5. Facial Recognition: Upgraded sensors combine Iris and facial recognition for faster, more accurate and secure facial unlocks. ‘3D Emoji’ mimic

Both Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are not much different from there predecessors Galaxy S8 and S8+. But Samsung needs to make some serious changes in camera, smarter software, faster processor, longer battery life and beefier audio to make strong competition with iPhone X. The only point not known is the price, there are claims that S9 might carry a
premium over the S8.
