6 TYPES OF FLANGE COMMONLY USED IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY

Weld-neck

Complete with a tapered hub, these flanges are recognizable & used in high pressure environments. The weld neck flange is particularly useful under repeat bending conditions.

Sizes:

-          Size 1/2" to 24" (150 & 300 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 20" (400 & 600 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 20" (400 & 600 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 12" (2500 Class)

Features:

-          Suitable for high-pressure & extreme temperature applications

-          Corrosion resistant

-          Dimensionally precise

To know more about weld neck flanges, visit flanges manufacturer in Rajkot.

Slip-on

A flange which is slipped over the pipe & welded both inside & outside to increase strength & prevent leakage. Slip on flange is a favorite for engineers compared to the weld-neck due to their lower cost.

-          Size 1/2" to 24" (150 & 300 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 8" (600 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 6" (900 & 1500 Class)

-          Size 1/2"to 4" (2500 Class)

Features:

-          Smooth finishing

-          High performance level

-          Corrosion resistant

-          Wear & tear resistant

To know more about slip on flanges, visit flanges dealers in Rajkot.

Lap-joint

Used in conjunction with a lap joint stub end, the flange is slipped over the pipe but not fastened, unlike the slip-on. Instead the lap-joint flange is held in place by the pressure transmitted to the gasket by the flange pressure against the back of the pipe lap.

Sizes:

-          Size 1/2" to 24" (150 & 300 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 8" (600 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 6" (900 & 1500 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 4" (2500 Class

Features:

-          High Durability

-          Corrosion resistant

-          Excellent performance level

Threaded

Used in special circumstances, the threaded flange can be attached to the pipe without being welded. Threaded flanges are usually positioned on pipes with a deep wall thickness, used to create the internal thread.

Features:

-          Well finished

-          High level of performance

-          Corrosion resistant

Blind

Manufactured without a bore, these flanges are used to blank off the end of piping, valves & pressure vessel openings. Blind Flange are also most suitable for high pressure temperature applications.

Sizes:

-          Size 1/2" to 24" (150 & 300 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 8" (600 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 6" (900 & 1500 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 4" (2500 Class)

Features:

-          Strength

-          Dimensionally precise

-          Resistant to corrosion

-          To know more about weld blind flanges, visit flanges suppliers in Rajkot.

Socket-weld

With a stable strength equal to the Slip-on flange, the Socket-weld flange is connected with the pipe with one fillet weld on the outside of the flange. Because of corrosion issues, some processes do not use this flange.

Sizes:

-          Size 1/2" to 24" (150 & 300 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 20" (400 & 600 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 20" (400 & 600 Class)

-          Size 1/2" to 12" (2500 Class)

Features:

-          Suitable for high-pressure & extreme temperature applications

-          Corrosion resistant

-          Dimensionally precise
