Breaking Bad's Walter White is the new Disney Prince in upcoming movie? - Bryan Lee Cranston will be in Disney's The One and Only

Bryan Lee Cranston (born March 7, 1956) is an American actor, voice actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for portraying Walter White on the AMC crime drama series Breaking Bad, Hal on the Fox comedy series Malcolm in the Middle, and Dr. Tim Whatley on the NBC comedy series Seinfeld.

Disney's film adaptation of The One and Only Ivan has cast Bryan Cranston.

THR reports Cranston will portray the owner of a failing circus. The Breaking Bad star joins a cast that includes Angelina Jolie and Sam Rockwell. Thea Sharrock (Me Before You) will direct the live-action/CG hybrid from a script by Mike White. A release date has not been set yet.

Katherine Applegate's 2011 book centers around a silverback gorilla named Ivan (Rockwell), an elephant named Stella (Jolie), and a stray dog named Bob who lives in a cage in a shopping mall. Ivan has no memory of his life before the mall but begins to remember it when he begins taking care of a baby elephant named Ruby. Ivan, along with his friends, then come up with a plan to take Ruby away from her abusive owner.

Cranston will play the owner of the mall, a man who abuses his animals as he forces them to act for customers. Jolie will voice Stella the elephant while Oscar-nominated actor Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) has been cast as Ivan.

Along with Cranston, Jolie, and Rockwell, the movie stars The Florida Project's Brooklynn Prince and Ariana Greenblatt (Stuck in the Middle). Jolie is producing the film alongside Brigham Taylor.
